Tetovo is located at the foot of the Šar Mountain, which also boast Popova Sapka, one of the most famous Macedonian ski resorts. In spite of that, the town has a relatively mild winter compared to the rest of the Balkans and it is often visited as a stop on the road to the mountains. Still, spring is definitely the most pleasant season for visits.

BOOK A FLIGHT

By Air


The nearest international airport to Tetovo is in Skopje, some 65 km away. Reaching it by car takes about an hour. The Macedonian capital of Skopje is connected with direct flights to a number of European cities. The most frequent flights are to Vienna, Milan, Budapest and Zurich.


By Rail


You can reach Tetovo by train from Skopje – Macedonia’s transportation hub, which is connected with Europe by railway via Belgrade. Several trains a day operate to Tetovo (the final destination is Kicevo) and back to Skopje, and the journey lasts between 60 and 80 minutes.


By Road


The journey from Skopje to Tetovo by car along the E65 in the direction of Gostivar and Ohrid takes about 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a bus. The city's two stations are in its eastern part, north of the road to Skopje.
