New Edition of Lonely Planet on Western Balkans Comes Out

BalkanTravellers.com

11 June 2009 | The second edition of the Lonely Planet’s guide to the Western Balkans, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, came out in May to the delight of first-time visitors and more experienced travellers.

Lonely Planet Western Balkans is a useful and informative companion for independent going through the unique and unforgettable expanse of south-eastern Europe- one that remains one of the most affordable and hospitable areas on the Continent.

“Not only indispensable for first-time visitors, the guide is also rewarding for more experienced travellers, offering unique accounts of the authors’ interactions with local voices- a set of colourful characters ranging from winemakers and archaeologists to publicans, scholars and musicians,” Christopher Deliso, who researched the Macedonia section of the guide and is a contributor and blogger on BalkanTravellers.com wrote. “And oh yeah, the usual snakes, saints, organized nudity on Croatian beaches and frenetic urban nightlife are documented here too,” he added.

For more information on ordering the guide, visit Christopher Deliso's website.
