Macedonia Railways with Summer Lines to Bulgaria’s and Montenegro’s Coasts

The train to Varna leaves Skopje at 8:44 pm every Saturday and arrives in Bulgaria’s seaside capital, located on its northern Black Sea coast, at 5:55 pm on Sunday. The return is also on Saturday, with the train leaving Varna at 12:40 pm and arriving in Skopje at 6:50 am, the Dnevnik newspaper reported.
The price of a sleeping-car return ticket for the Skopje-Varna-Skopje route is 6,600 Macedonian denars (around 107 euro). The line will be operated until September 4.
Macedonian Railways also started a seasonal route between Skopje and the seaport of Bar in Montenegro on Monday. The daily trains start at Macedonia’s capital at 4:32 pm and arrive in Bar at 6:30 am. The return trains leave Bar at 6:45 pm and arrive in Skopje at 1:50 pm.
The price of a sleeping-car return ticket for the Skopje-Bar-Skopje route is 4,200 Macedonian denars (around 68 euro). The line will be operated until August 31.
Due to the lack of direct rail connection, according to the publication, both train routes will pass through the city of Niš in Serbia.
