BalkanTravellers.com

15 September 2011 | The next edition of Concours d'Elegance, the Balkan yearly retro car show, will take place on the 16th of September in Belgrade. One of its highlights are expected to be several of the cars of former Yugoslavia's leader Josip Broz Tito.

This will be the fifth edition of Concours d'Elegance. Last year it took place in Bulgarian capital Sofia.

This time the organizers, Concours d'Elegance Foundation, have included in the program display of cars, produced between 1900 and 1981. Their partner in the event will be the Automobile Museum of Belgrade – one of the newest technical museums in Serbia, founded by the Assembly of the City of Belgrade and Bratislav Petkovic, an important Serbian collector.

The competition of Councourse d'Elegance will take place in front of the Grand Casino – a historical building, which was occupied by the museum. An international jury will evaluate authenticity, technical qualities and quality of restoration of the cars.
