Sky Restaurant Affords Bird-Eye View of Technical Fair in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

The Dinner in the Sky restaurant, installed especially for the fair, stands on a platform at 50 metres above the ground, raised by a 100-ton crane. The platform weights 6.5 tons, including the guests and the three-member staff and it gets lowered automatically when wind speed goes over 12 metres per second.
In addition to the opportunity to hold business meetings and presentations, the restaurant affords a view of the ground of the 64th edition of the Plovdiv fair, which closes on October 4 and which saw the participation of 3,202 companies from 45 countries this year.
An average of 20,000 people visited the fair every day since it began on September 29 and it is expected that the total number of visitors will reach 150,000 people by the time it wraps up.
