After Bulgaria, Future Shorts Film Festival Comes to Romania

The festival will take place in the Artexpo galleries of the Museum for Contemporary Art in Bucharest, where independent short films will be screened, including Wes Anderson’s Hotel Chevalier, starring Natalie Portman, the première of the film for The Cinematic Orchestra To build a home and shorts from Australia, Switzerland, the US and New Zealand.
In addition to a full screenings programme in the UK, Future Shorts festivals, which allow filmmakers the opportunity to have their work seen on a large platform, is regularly organised in 16 countries worldwide. In the Balkans, such screenings have been taking place in Bulgaria since the fall of 2007. Upcoming shows there include one in Sofia’s Red House for Culture and Debate on October 17, one in Varna’s Club Comics on October 30 and one in the Puppet Theatre in Burgas on October 31.
