Macedonia’s Tikvesh Wine Selected among World’s 30 Top Brands

28 October 2008 | The Macedonian winery Tikvesh was selected among the top 30 global wine brands by one of the world’s leading food industry shows, SIAL, which took place in Paris between October 19 and 23.

The “Top Brands” section within SIAL’s Wine Innovation Forum promoted “30 major wine brands […], whose innovative character, commercial success and resulting value creation is stimulating the market,” according to the show’s official website.

Tikvesh was the only wine brand from the Balkans region present in the selection, which included 16 French and 14 international wine brands. Among the French are Eros, Fruité Catalan, Fat Bastard, Veuve Clicquot and French Rabbit.

Tikvesh was in the company of the selected international wines, which included Yellow Tail, Jacob’s Creek and Hardy’s from Australia, Golden Kaan and Black Tower from Germany, Cloudy Bay from New Zealand, Catena from Argentina, Mateus from Portugal, Torres from Spain, Changyu from China, Viña Concha Y Toro from Chili, Clos de Los Siete from Argentina and Canti  from Italy.
