Companies from Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria and Turkey to Take Part in Theatre Fest in Macedonia

3 November 2008 | Eight theatre companies will take part in the second edition of the Skupi Theatre Festival, which takes place in the Macedonian capital Skopje between November 3 and 9.

The festival opens tonight at 8pm with the play by the City Theatre in Istanbul Woman’s Body as Battlefield, written by Romanian playwright Matei Vişniec and directed by Orhan Alkaya, the Macedonian newspaper Dnevnik wrote today.

The other performers in the festival include theatre companies from Slovenia, Albania, Italy, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Macedonia.

A jury of international theatre experts, including Nicholas Cho from the United States, Ndricim Xhepa from Albania and Zlatko Slavenski from Macedonia will evaluate the performances.
