5,000 Public Places in Greece to Have Free Internet Access in 2009

1 December 2008 | As of next year, 5,000 public places in Greece will offer a free and fast connection to the Internet.
Users will be able to surf the Internet from various squares, ports, bus stops, train stations and even the smallest airports throughout the country, according to the Greek newspaper Ta Nea, and the only requirement would be that they have a portable laptop or mobile telephone with Wi-Fi technology.

The programme will start being realised in 2009 by the Greek Transport Ministry, according to the publication.
