An Alaska Airlines flight to San Diego returned to Seattle on Monday due to “unusual shaking” on the left side of the plane shortly after departure.
The airline told FOX Business on Tuesday that the hood — part of the metal plates that cover the plane’s engine — On Alaska Airlines Flight 558 It broke off the plane when it landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
The plane landed safely and no one was hurt.
There were a total of 176 passengers and six crew members on board the flight and customers were rebooked for another flight to their destination.
