The 2022 college football season has finally arrived…sort of. With 22 of FBS’s 131 teams in play, Week 0 brings several games that will give fans an initial idea of what’s in store for the coming months. Although there were no top 25 AP teams on the field on Saturday, there are a few compelling storylines that will be part of the roster.
The biggest game of the day is the Big Ten match between Nebraska and Northwestern in Ireland as both teams look to recover from their lackluster 2021 campaigns. Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and Vanderbilt will also be in the running for the five powers. Cap off the holiday night with a unique no-conference showdown as Vanderbilt travels to Hawaii for Rainbow Warriors coach Timmy Chang’s first game.
There are a few other games with CBS Sports broadcasting live events from noon to midnight. CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to keep you informed of the latest results, highlights and storylines throughout the day. All times are oriental
