Elden Ring: Broken Malenia Boss Fight new patch fixes and more

A new update to Elden Ring has fixed a number of bugs introduced in the latest update 1.04, including a bug that caused Malenia to restore health without reason during battles with summoned players.

Like Posted by Bandai NamcoUpdate 1.04.1 “Fixed a bug in Malenia, Blade of Miquella where her HP was not being treated properly in an online multiplayer environment”. This should mean that in battles where she summons player co-op help, Malenia won’t be able to restore her health unless her hits actually communicate with a player. This is good news for anyone trying to beat the hardest boss in the game with friends.

There’s good news for spellers, too; Cerulean occult rupture has been repaired. Update 1.04 accidentally reduced the duration of the Tear from 15 seconds to 7, but fortunately, this hotfix restores it to its original form. Drink this when mixed into Flask of Wondrous Physick and you’ll be able to cast spells without draining your FP for a full 15 seconds now.

The update also “fixed a bug that caused some bosses to die at unintended times”, as well as a bug that prevented the last boss from working properly “under certain circumstances”. These conditions are not mentioned in the post, but they shouldn’t be a problem anymore.

In addition, some text issues were also fixed.

This would put update 1.04 in good standing, as beyond these issues, the update has been very well received by the Elden Ring community, especially with regards to its awesome weapon mods and faith abilities. It did a nerf Swarm of Flies, so anyone who counts on it to defeat Malenia might be a little disappointed.
