A retired nurse saved the life of a three-month-old baby while traveling on a plane in the United States, CNN reported on Thursday, September 8.

Tamara Panzino certainly didn’t think she would face such a situation during her trip. A retired nurse saved the life of a three-month-old baby on Thursday (September 8) while on a flight from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Orlando, Florida, according to CNN.

The woman heard the flight attendant’s warning: “We have a baby who isn’t breathing!” The staff then asked if there was a doctor on the Spirit Airlines flight.

The retired nurse then ran to the back of the plane. The infant, who was traveling with the father, was not breathing. “I didn’t know what to do, I saw a child, head back, blue lips … I panicked”she says.

“Total Relief”

Tamara Pancino asked the child’s father to hold him while he massaged the child’s sternum “chest shake”. Then she pinched the child “So he cries and finds his breath”He explains to CNN. “After a few minutes it was a complete relief. The baby was back to normal color, her breathing was fine and I could even hear the heartbeat.”, says the retired nurse, who did not need to perform CPR. Faced with this heroic gesture, the company expressed its opinion “A big thank you to Tamara Pancino for helping this little baby” And congratulated the crew “its effectiveness”.
