Kelsey Grammer pays tribute to the late Kirstie Alley

(CNN) Kelsey Grammer pays regards to his friend and ex-leader Kirstie Alley, who He died From cancer in December at the age of 71.

During an appearance on “The Rachael Ray Show,” Grammer said Alley was “radiant.”

“I loved Kirsty,” he said. “She was always beautiful. She had this thing about her. She was such a radiant human being and that came through.”

He added, “She knew how to love. She was very honest about her emotions the whole time.”

Grammer recalled a time when he “got in trouble with the law” and said Alley was one of the only people who truly supported him.

“I showed up,” he said. “She was one of the only people who really showed up to be supportive and that was amazing. She always made me laugh. Everything she did made me laugh. The first time I went to her house, there was a lemur living on the property and I thought, ‘Just in Kirsty’s world'” “.

One of the last times he was scheduled to see her was at a friend’s book signing, but Grammer said she ultimately didn’t show up.

“Kirsty was noticeably missing and about a week later she was gone,” he said.

Rae responded that she was also fond of Alley, telling Grammer: “I’m glad I even knew her and I’m glad you shared some of those thoughts with us. Thank you, buddy.”
