Kendrick Lamar honors Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton Fashion Week

Kendrick Lamar appeared on Louis Vuitton’s latest show, performing a selection of songs from his album the master. Morale and Big Steppers.

The show went live on Thursday (June 23) as part of the Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2023 show in Paris, during the city’s annual Fashion Week. Lamar provided four songs from the album, three of which were debuts: “Saviour”, “Rich Soul”, “Count Me Out” and “In 95”.

The performance was as laid-back as she was, navigating through the tracks while remaining in his seat among spectators at the show, donning the Crown of Thorns.

Lamar also paid tribute to the late Off-White designer Virgil Abloh, who was also Vuitton’s creative director for his stint, by chanting “Long Live Virgil” to the beat of “N95.” Watch the replay of the live stream below with Lamar starting at the roughly 13 minute mark.

Lamar spent the week in France, performing in Cannes as part of an event hosted by Spotify. Then he moved to Italy, where he appeared at the Milan Summer Festival. This weekend, Lamar will head to the UK to make headlines Glastonbury Festival Along with Billie Eilish and Paul McCartney.
