Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is headed to Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Italian media reported on Tuesday.
The Italian president traveled by train from Poland to Kiev, where he is expected in the morning, Sky TV channel TG24 reported.
On Monday evening, Giorgia Meloni spoke by phone with US President Joe Biden, who returned to Poland after a surprise visit to Kiev, the Italian government said.
“The two leaders discussed their ongoing close coordination regarding support to Ukraine, including assistance in security, economic and humanitarian affairs,” Palace Sigi said in a statement.
