Nineteen children and a teacher were killed in a Texas elementary school shooting

At least 21 people, including 19 children and 2 adults, have been killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Wolverhampton, Texas. In the wake of this new tragedy, the United States is once again grieving, with President Joe Biden calling for a jump in arms regulation.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the shooter first targeted his grandmother, took her car to go to Rob Elementary School and murdered her there. His purpose is unknown.

During the 2020-2021 school year, the school welcomed more than 500 children under the age of 10, 90% of whom are of Hispanic descent.

According to the Texas governor, the young man killed the victims “brutally and meaninglessly.”

Videos shared on social networks showed children being evacuated in an emergency in front of the company, which has the most common low-rise buildings in the south of the United States, holding hands or running in small groups toward school buses.
