Prisco's NFL Week 2 picks: Saints knock out Tom Brady again, Giants go 2-0 with Panthers win

Prisco’s NFL Week 2 picks: Saints knock out Tom Brady again, Giants go 2-0 with Panthers win

The first week of an NFL season is always unpredictable. So I would be happy with my first pick week after seeing what happened in the first week.

I went 7-8-1 straight, which was foul. I’ve gone 8-8 against the difference, and it is. But the great news is that I went 5-1 with my best bets as part of Choose six podcasts. If I don’t add Jacksonville Jaguars In hindsight, it would have been a clean sweep. Even this sounded good for a while, too.

So let’s go back to what I call the NFL tie week. Teams that looked bad in week one probably won’t look that way in week two, while the opposite is likely to be true for some winners. It won’t always be played like this, but I think it will be this week in a lot of games.

It’s time to get the live record back on track, but most of all, let’s keep our best bets on track.

Thursday, 8:20 PM ET (Amazon Prime)

Featured game | Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers

This is the match of the week with Justin Herbert vs. Patrick Mahomes. That’s fun any time they get together, and Arrowhead will be swinging by Thursday night. Presidents rolled against basics With Mahomes lighting. But the Chargers can rush passersby with Khalil Mack and Joey Bossa. Look for a high-score game with bosses winning a close game.

Featured game | Baltimore Ravens vs Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins and Ravens won in great fashion last week, but Miami is now on the road for the first time. Dolphins took control of crows last year on their territory, but this will be different. Crows and Lamar Jackson get the best of dolphins.

Featured game | Cleveland Browns vs New York Jets

Brown will face a familiar midfielder this week in Joe Flacco. He didn’t do well last week losing the Jets to the crows. Brown had a close win over Carolina last week, but they are back at home in this game and Jacoby Brissett will do better in his second start for the Browns. They go to 2-0.

Featured game | Detroit Lions vs. Washington Leaders

The leaders secured a home win over the Jaguars as Carson Wentz led them to a late score. Lions looked good in attacking against the EaglesBut the defense was terrible. This could end in penalties. Washington is the better team and I think that will show. Leaders take it.

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount +)

Featured game | Jacksonville Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have not won in Jacksonville since 2014 and lost there last year in the final week to cost them a playoff place. They also play back-to-back road games, while Jacksonville plays its opener at home. This is a huge advantage for Jaguar cars. Ponies crowded to bind Texas Last week, but this time they wouldn’t rally to win. The Jaguars will claim their first win.

Featured game | New Orleans Saints vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs play back-to-back road games after Sunday night’s game, which is always tough. But they are also under attack in a big way. The Saints defense pursues Tom Brady when his streak is in order, which he isn’t. Look for the Saints’ Defense to take a hit here after their struggles last week. The saints take it.

Featured game | New York Giants vs Carolina Panthers

The Giants did some good things in rallying them late to beat titans On the road. Saquon Barkley was special. The team will carry again here against Team Carolina who lost last week to Brown. The Giants go 2-0. Can you believe it?

Featured game | Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots

The Patriots play back-to-back road games after a terrible show in Miami. The Steelers play their home opener after they bothered Bengals. But the Steelers would be without TJ Watt, which is hugely important. Defensive dynamic changes. The Patriots will hang out in this game as crime finally shows some life. Then they will win it late.

Featured game | Los Angeles Rams vs Atlanta Falcons

The Rams will be rested for 10 days after a terrible show against Invoices. Sean McVeigh is a coach too good to lose that loss. The Hawks played well in the loss to the Saints in a match they probably should have won. This is a long trip against a good team who will be focused. Rams take it big.

Featured game | San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks 1-0, while 49 from 0-1. Who saw that after the first week? Seattle played well in the inconvenience Bronco Monday night, but now they’re out in a short week. This is a challenge. The 49 players did not play well in poor conditions at Soldier Field in the loss to bear, but that will change here. Tre Lance gets it.

Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5) in Cowboys in Dallas

Sunday, 4:25 PM ET (CBS, Paramount +)

Featured game | Dallas Cowboys vs Cincinnati Bengals

Bengal gets a break facing Cooper Rush in place of Dak Prescott. It took Joe Burrow a while to go against Pittsburgh after sitting outside training camp, but he shed the rust in the second half. I think this is over. Cowboys are very limited in crime. Bengals win.

Houston Texans at Denver Broncos (-10)

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount +)

Featured game | Denver Broncos vs Houston Texans

The Broncos play their opening game at home after losing Monday night to the Seahawks in a game they were supposed to win. The Texans played well tying the ponies last week, but this will be an even bigger challenge down the road. I think they can hang out in this game, but the Broncos will win it in hindsight.

Featured game | Las Vegas Raiders vs Arizona Cardinals

The Raiders lost to the Shippers, but they played well. The Cardinals lost to the Presidents and played horrible football. Now they are out on the road for the first time. The Cardinals don’t feel like a good team. Derek Carr lights them up.

Featured game | Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears

The beams were terrible at losing to Vikings, while the 49 bears were shocked in a strong rainstorm. This is the right game for two players. Aaron Rodgers and the pass match will keep it going, the defense will dominate Justin Fields and the Bears attack.

picking Beams 34, Bears 14

Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills (-10)

Monday, 7:15 p.m. ET (ESPN, FuboTV)

Featured game | Buffalo Bills vs. Tennessee Titans

Titans coming out of a brutal loss to the Titans as they blew up a huge lead. Now they’re heading north to play for the Bills who will have rested for 11 days. That matters. Buffalo has had problems with the Titans in recent years, but that won’t be the case here. Josh Allen continues to collect big numbers.

picking Bills 33, Titans 19

Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)

Monday, 8:30 p.m. ET (ESPN, FuboTV)

Featured game | Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings

This is one of the best matches of the week, with two teams 1-0 up impressive victories. Minnesota’s defense was great last week against the Packers, but that’s a different style of attack. The Eagles will get a lot of points here, but the Vikings will get theirs too. This will be a penalty shootout with the Eagles getting the best of it.
