The sequel to ‘Gladiator’ hits ‘many crew members’

“While filming a planned stunt sequence on the set of the Gladiator sequel, an accident occurred during which several crew members sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” a Paramount Pictures spokesperson shared in a statement to CNN on Saturday.

“The full safety and medical services teams on site were able to work quickly so that those affected received the necessary care immediately. All are in a stable condition and continue to receive treatment.”

“The well-being of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance to us, and we have strict health and safety measures in place across all of our productions. We will continue to monitor the situation and take all necessary precautions as we resume production,” the Paramount spokesperson added.

The sequel to Gladiator is directed by Ridley Scott, who directed the first film. This movie stars Russell Crowe, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the role.
