Nintendo has become an important part of Bayonetta Future Series – Helping to fund the second game on the Wii U, and continuing to fund the third game.
Hideki Kamiya of Platinum previously mentioned how grateful he was to Nintendo for stepping in to help “start this project” and now commenting on this again now Bayonetta 3 He was finally released.
Speaking to Famitsu, Kamiya mentioned how he was “really happy” that the team had the opportunity to play match three, adding the following comment:
“I’m not exaggerating when I say I owe forever to Nintendo.”
In the same interview, Nintendo producer Makoto Okazaki noted that Kamiya’s “emotional video message” helped make Bayonetta 3 a reality:
“Personally, I think this was the final installment that made this game a reality.”
Although the Bayonetta series did not begin its life on the Nintendo platform, Nintendo continued to fund the release of the original game on Wii U and also re-released the first and second games on the Nintendo Switch.
