Sonic Origins Plus adds playable Game Gear titles Amy and Knuckles

Follow up last year Sonic Origins The anthology will be released next June, adding all 12 of Blue Blur’s Game Gear skins in an edition called Sonic Plus Origins.

Sega has set the launch for June 23, which Sonic fans know is his birthday (the franchise turns 32 on that day). Sonic Plus Origins It includes games released in the anthology last year, as well as Game Gear titles, which will be playable in the Game Museum.

For good measure, Amy Rose will be a playable character in all four of those games, with Knuckles also playable Audio CD. There have been nine Sonic-themed games for the Sega Game Gear, and he also appeared in the tenth, Adventure tails, as a guest star. Sega has not said what the other two games are.

Sonic Origins It was released on June 23, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Sonic Plus Origins It launches on all of these platforms as well, as a downloadable and retail version, both for $39.99. Those who purchase the physical copy also receive a 20-page art book covering the history of the franchise.
