In an interview shortly after his arrival in the city, bass guitar player Roger Glover said he was very happy to play before a Turkish audience again, as during the first concert in Istanbul, he was delighted by the Turkish fans and the pleasure that they felt from Deep Purple’s music.

Now in their eight line-up, with many of the original members still present, Deep Purple has been touring the world since the release of their latest album Rapture of the Deep in 2005.
